Caleb’s exposure to construction has been lifelong. While the business was in its early years, being run out of the Hilger basement, Caleb could be found in diapers running around upstairs. His experience in the field began during high school as a laborer. He attributes a good deal of his knowledge of construction to his early years of pushing a broom, digging ditches, and pulling nails.

He graduated from the University of Portland in 2015, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration where he focused on fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and start-up companies. During his time in Portland, he had his hands in several local startup companies concentrating on ground level marketing and market research. After almost a year of working in the craft beer industry, he stepped in to fill the role as bookkeeper at Hilger Construction. Following a year of learning the financial side of the business, Caleb transitioned into his current role as a full time Project Manager and Estimator. He is humbled and honored for the opportunity to work for the family business.
