Upgrade an existing one story concrete masonry veneer building to current structural, military security, safety and general building standards. Create a new floor plan to meet the new intended building function and maintain the historical character and features of the building to conform with the locale.
Prime Architectural Subcontractor – The building was gutted to bare exterior masonry walls and floors; the original roof framing was removed. We did all the structural upgrades including new concrete footings, perimeter shear walls, new wood trussed roof framing, reinforced the existing perimeter concrete masonry walls, and blast frames for the exterior doors & windows. The new perimeter framing was a component for the blast resistant windows and doors, as well as being the shear walls. We did the interior framing, insulation, doors & frames, ATFP windows, GWB, floor coverings, acoustic ceilings, painting, toilet partitions, bath accessories, interior signage, misc. specialty items, cabinets & countertops, and window treatments. Hilger Construction provided continuous onsite overall project supervision and value engineering.
